Board of Directors
Victim Services of Simcoe County is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. The Directors are local community leaders dedicated to building a stronger community with accessible resources to empower the community when they are at their most vulnerable. As a growing community resource, VSSC is interested in director candidates who align with its mission, vision and value.
Do you have board governance experience ?
Have you collaborated as part of a team ?
Directors are responsible for governing VSSC; protecting the ongoing sustainability and credibility of the agency, and ensuring compliance with all relevant statutory, regulatory, funder and affiliation requirements. To accomplish this, we are interested in recruiting director candidates across a variety of skills and competencies, and encourage applications from qualified individuals who represent Simcoe County’s diverse population, geography and perspectives.
Board and committee meetings are held in the evening. Directors are also expected to attend annual general meetings and educational sessions, which are scheduled with as much notice as possible.
To apply for a VSSC Board of Directors vacancy, email a cover letter and résumé to Executive Director Marie McCallum.
